Taher Al-Baour, the official in charge of managing the affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for the Government of National Unity, discussed the development of bilateral relations between the two countries with Abdullah bin Dakhil Al-Sulami, the Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Libya.

The meeting, held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Tripoli, addressed “the fraternal ties between the State of Libya and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as ways to strengthen and enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields, in a manner that fulfills the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples,” according to a post by the ministry on its Facebook page.

The ministry added that the two sides also discussed a number of issues of mutual interest, as well as the latest developments on the regional and international stages, where they emphasized the importance of continued coordination and consultation between the two countries in Arab and international forums, and of supporting all efforts to enhance security and stability in the region.

The two sides also reaffirmed their commitment to continuing to develop prospects for political, economic, and developmental cooperation and to strengthening ties between Libyan and Saudi institutions, reflecting the depth of bilateral relations and their standing within the framework of joint Arab action.
