France's ambassador to Libya reiterated on Thursday his country's readiness "to provide technical and advisory support to the High National Elections Commission, which would enhance its readiness to implement the expected vote."

Ambassador Mostafa Mihraje also expressed his government's appreciation for the efforts of the commission to hold the elections per the highest standards in force in the world, during a Tripoli meeting with commission chairman Imad Al-Sayeh.

Earlier this week, the ambassador met with Libyan Central Bank Governor Siddiq Al-Kabir to discuss cooperation with the French central bank in combating money laundering and terrorist financing.
