The Libyan Iron and Steel Company's rod rolling mill announced the expansion of production in different sizes to meet the needs of the market, and the inclusion of British specifications (BS4449) for rebar.

The company added in a statement that the mill is now able to produce 12 mm iron and is expected to produce sizes 8,10, 16, and 20 mm iron in the coming days.

The company also pointed to its previous achievement of producing more than 10,000 tons of 14 mm steel with a "quality of more than 99%".
