Former Libyan PM Mahmoud Jibril has died from complications related to coronavirus

According to medical sources, former Libyan interim Prime Minister and the head of the National Forces Alliance, Mahmoud Jibril, has died due to complications from the coronavirus.

Jibril served as the interim Prime Minister of Libya for seven and a half months during the "February 17" revolution to remove Muammar Gaddafi, chairing the executive board of the National Transitional Council from March to October 2011. From July 2012, Jibril became the head of one of the largest political parties in Libya, the National Forces Alliance.

According to sources, Jibril had been seeking treatment for the virus in a Cairo hospital, he was 67.
