Security officials from the Government of National Unity's (GNU) Interior Ministry held an expanded meeting on Thursday devoted to discussing preparations to secure the 13th-anniversary celebrations of the February 17 (2011) revolution.

The meeting which was held in the meeting room of the ministry's office in Tripoli, was chaired by Interior Ministry Undersecretary for Directorates Affairs, Major General Bashir Abu al-Qasim, according to a ministry statement.

The statement added that the meeting was attended by representatives of the security and military agencies under the Presidential Council and the cabinet, noting that the participants stressed cooperation and full readiness to secure the celebrations.
