The Military Media Division of the General Command in Benghazi announced on Monday, the signing of a contract with a Turkish company to implement the integrated project for the management and monitoring of Libya’s land borders, which is part of “Vision 2030” under the supervision of the Deputy Commander Saddam Haftar.

The Military Media Division clarified on its Facebook page that the first phase of the integrated project for the management and monitoring of Libya’s land borders will be implemented along a 275-kilometer stretch, as part of the General Command’s special focus on border issues, and “in recognition of the importance of protecting Libya’s sovereign rights, without any negligence, complacency, or delay in managing this critical issue.”

It added that this step comes as part of the General Command’s efforts “to ensure the stability of Libya’s land borders with neighboring countries and to focus on strengthening security and economic coordination to combat smuggling, drug and arms trafficking, illegal migration, and cross-border crimes, as well as to counter any threats that may affect national sovereignty.”

The Military Media Division did not disclose details of the project or the name of the Turkish company that will be responsible for implementing the integrated project for the management and monitoring of Libya’s land borders.
