The Government of National Unity led by Abdulhamid Dabaib issued a number of decisions on Saturday, to implement several development projects in the city of Zliten.
These projects include: the widening of the Ka’am entrance road—which connects the coastal road to the main Al-Karma road—over a length of 5 kilometers.
In addition to the widening of the Al-Dafniyah Gate Road, spanning 27 kilometers; the widening of the Ka’am entrance road, which connects the coastal road to the industrial zone and spans 25 kilometers; and the implementation of a number of other road projects.
Drilling of 5 wells and construction of a water reservoir
The government also approved the drilling of five wells 350 meters deep, the construction of a water reservoir to support the municipality’s water supply system, the construction and equipping of a women’s training center in the municipality of Zliten, and the design and construction of buildings for the faculties of Medicine, Information Technology, Arts, Engineering, and Pharmacy at Al-Asmariya University, and the construction of a lecture hall at the Faculty of Economics.
Construction of a building for the Emergency Police Department
The government also decided to construct and equip a building for the Criminal Investigation Department, construct and equip a building for the Emergency Police Department, furnish the main auditorium at Al-Asmariya University, and construct the Al-Asmariya Religious High School (for girls).
The statement said that these decisions aim to “accelerate the implementation of development projects, support local development, and improve the efficiency of infrastructure, educational and security services, water services, and the road network in the city of Zliten.”
