On Saturday, Abdulhamid Dabaiba, head of the Government of National Unity, inaugurated the Al-Mantarha School for Primary and Secondary Education (Model B) in the municipality of Zliten, in the presence of the chairman and members of the Zliten Municipal Council and a number of officials, as part of the “Return to Life” projects being implemented by the government to develop infrastructure.

The school comprises 20 classrooms, along with four science labs for chemistry, physics, biology, and computer science, as well as administrative offices, a theater, a football field and basketball courts, green spaces, a student gathering area, and parking lots, according to the Libyan News Agency.

The school’s opening took place during Dabaiba’s visit to Zliten, which today hosted the fourth regular meeting of the Government of National Unity for 2026 to discuss a number of government, service, and development issues and to monitor the progress of programs and projects across various sectors.

Infrastructure Projects and University and Administrative Buildings in Zliten

Earlier on Saturday, Dabaiba's government issued a number of decisions to implement several development projects in the city of Zliten.

These projects include: the widening of the Ka’am entrance road, which connects the coastal road to the main Al-Karma Road, over a length of five kilometers.

In addition, the project to widen the 27-kilometer-long Al-Dafniya Gate Road will be carried out, as well as the project to widen the 25-kilometer-long Ka’am entrance road connecting the coastal road to the industrial zone, alongside a number of other road projects.
