The Ministry of the Environment’s headquarters in Tripoli hosted on Thursday, the official handover ceremony for the ministry’s duties between former Minister Ibrahim al-Arabi Munir and the new Minister, Mohamed Sidi Ibrahim, who was appointed to the position pursuant to a decision issued by the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdulhamid Dabaiba.

The Ministry of the Environment confirmed that the handover ceremony took place “in a positive atmosphere,” in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Environment, Ahneen al-Ma’awi Ahneen, and the Chief of the Environmental Police, along with the handover committee and a group of department directors from the Ministry of the Environment and the Environmental Police.

The ministry stated on its Facebook page that the ceremony “were marked by a highly positive spirit, reflecting the warmth, smooth transition, and shared national responsibility.

Dr. Ibrahim al-Arabi Munir congratulated the new Minister of the Environment, expressing his sincere wishes for success and guidance in carrying out the duties entrusted to him and in leading the Ministry of the Environment toward further development and success.”
