The General Directorate of Security Operations, appointed by the House of Representatives, announced the seizure of 375,000 Lyrica narcotic tablets in the Al-Qatta area of the city of Brak Al-Shati, during an operation carried out by the Urban Reorganization Committee—chaired by Major General Jamal Al-Amami—with support from the Investigation and Arrest Unit in Qarnada.

In a statement posted on its Facebook page, the Directorate said the operation is part of ongoing security efforts to combat the scourge of drugs and strengthen security, as part of campaigns aimed at drying up sources of drug trafficking and curbing the spread of drugs.

The administration added that security agencies have taken the necessary legal measures against those involved, affirming that security campaigns to pursue drug trafficking networks will continue, thereby contributing to the protection of society and the preservation of its security and stability.
