Libyan officer Bil-Hassan Muaz Ali ranked first in the joint basic military training program at the Cherchell Military Academy in Algeria and received a certificate of excellence from Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune during the graduation ceremony for the 2025–2026 academic year.

On Thursday, the Algerian president, in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defense, presided over the graduation ceremony for the 57th class of basic training, the 19th class of the Joint Basic Military Training Program, and the 10th class of the Master’s Program for officers at the Cherchell Military Academy, according to a statement from the Algerian Ministry of National Defense.

After the graduates took the oath, President Tebboune presided over the conferral of military ranks and the presentation of certificates of excellence to the top graduates. He presented a certificate of excellence to Libyan officer Bil-Hassan Muaz Ali, who ranked first in the joint basic military training program for trainees from friendly nations, and honored the top graduates from the other classes as well.
