Work continues on the airport road development project in the capital, Tripoli, during the Eid al-Adha holiday, with completion rates continuing to rise as of today. The Libyan Transport Projects Implementation Authority confirmed on Friday that work is continuing on the main road and the Qasr Bin Ghashir Bridge, as well as on other components, in order to accelerate the project’s progress.

Road Closures for Airport Road Project

On May 4, the Tripoli Security Directorate announced the closure of the airport road in the direction leading to the city center to allow the contractor to complete paving work.

The closure includes the section extending from the airport road roundabout to just before the gas station located before the third roundabout bridge toward the city center, according to the Directorate, which confirmed that the new service road has been designated as an alternative route for vehicle traffic during the closure period.
