Saddam Haftar, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the General Command forces, said he received a phone call from Massad Boulos, Senior Advisor to U.S. President Donald Trump on Arab and African Affairs, during which they discussed the importance of unifying institutions and supporting the path to national reconciliation.

A statement issued by Saddam Haftar on Sunday explained that achieving these goals requires a comprehensive political process that reflects the aspirations of all Libyan groups across the country, noting the United States’ support for “strengthening Libyan state institutions and ensuring the participation of all Libyans in shaping their country’s future.”
