On Thursday, the head of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Menfi, received a congratulatory message on the occasion of Eid al-Adha from the President of the Republic of Chad, Marshal Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno.
The message from the Chadian President read: “I pray to God Almighty to accept your good deeds and those of the entire Islamic nation, to grant you the blessings of health, well-being, and long life, and to bestow upon the Libyan state, under your wise leadership, further progress, peace, and prosperity,” according to a statement from the Presidential Council.
In his message, he also expressed his hope that this blessed holiday would contribute to strengthening the bonds of brotherhood between our two countries and our two brotherly peoples, and to consolidating fruitful cooperation in various fields.
Economic pressures overshadow the festive atmosphere
Yesterday, UN Envoy Hanna Tetteh congratulated the Libyan people on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, noting that economic pressures are weighing heavily on citizens in their daily lives, increasing the burden on families, and overshadowing the atmosphere of joy and solidarity that should accompany this occasion.
For its part, the Japanese Embassy in Libya extended its congratulations to the Libyan people on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, wishing the country security, stability, and prosperity.
