Libyan pilgrims performed the rituals on the first day of Eid al-Adha, Wednesday, known as “Yawm al-Nahr” (the Day of Sacrifice).
The pilgrims stoned the Jamrah al-Aqabah al-Kubra, throwing seven pebbles in succession at the Mina campground, then performed the Tawaf al-Ifadah, which consists of seven circuits around the Kaaba, according to a statement by the General Authority for Hajj and Umrah on its Facebook page.
It is worth noting that the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah prohibited pilgrims from going to the Jamarat from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. due to high temperatures and the danger of sun exposure.
