The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) announced on Monday the completion of the project to install batteries for the power supply systems dedicated to the steam units at the Zawiya dual-cycle power plant.

The company confirmed via its Facebook page that the installation of the third and final shipment has been completed, paving the way for its commissioning, in a move aimed at enhancing the units’ operational efficiency and ensuring their stability, thereby contributing to the provision of better services.

The company explained that this step is part of its ongoing efforts to provide all necessary supplies and spare parts to increase the availability and reliability of power plants located across various regions.
