The Government of National Unity (GNU) announced on Thursday, the distribution of Eid sacrificial animals to eligible families in 14 municipalities, based on vouchers that were handed over to local community leaders to ensure the animals reach their rightful recipients in an organized and direct manner.

The government explained in a Facebook post that teams from the Youth Volunteer Efforts Agency have begun distributing the sacrificial animals in the municipalities of “Awal, Al-Zahra, Al-Ma’moura, Al-Manshiya, Al-Jamil, Al-Awata, Qasr Bin Ghashir, Sidi Al-Sa’ih, Al-Jalida, Al-Nasiriya, Zuwara, Al-Urban, Nasma, Ras al-Tabl, and Al-Asaba.”

Distribution of subsidized sacrificial animals in the Eastern Region

In mid-April, the government appointed by the House of Representatives announced the provision of approximately 50,000 sacrificial animals subsidized by the General Command, in preparation for their distribution through pre-designated authorized distribution points ahead of Eid al-Adha.

On Wednesday, the Municipal Guard announced that the sale of subsidized sacrificial animals began in cities across the Eastern Region, stretching from Marj to Tobruk, starting today.
