The Al-Butnan Region Branch of the Department for Combating Illegal Immigration announced the deportation and placement of 228 migrants in shelters as part of its security plan aimed at strengthening security and stability.

The branch explained in a statement that, in recent days, migrants were processed by referring some of them to the Qunfudah Shelter and Deportation Center, while deportation procedures for others were completed through the border crossing’s deportation unit, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, while observing established humanitarian standards.

The agency noted that these measures reflect the scale of efforts undertaken by the various components of the branch—including offices and units—in carrying out their assigned security duties, in constant coordination with the agency’s leadership.

The Al-Butnan Branch affirmed that it will continue to take the necessary measures to curb the phenomenon of illegal immigration, thereby contributing to security, stability, and the protection of citizens.
