The Department for Combating Illegal Immigration announced that its branches in the southern region had deported 309 irregular migrants of Chadian nationality, who were transferred to the Chadian side in coordination with the General Command forces responsible for securing the border.
The agency stated that its personnel traveled long distances across the desert to complete the mission despite all the difficulties and challenges they faced in the rugged desert environment, according to a statement posted on its Facebook page on Wednesday.
The agency’s branches in the southern region confirmed their readiness and field deployment across various cities and areas in southern Libya, including Sebha, Brak al-Shati, Qatrun, Umm al-Aranib, Obari, Ghat, and Jufra.
