415 migrants from Niger deported via Brak Al-Shati Airport

The Department for Combating Illegal Migration announced the deportation of 415 migrants of Nigerien nationality from the agency’s shelters in the southern region via Brak al-Shati Airport to Mano Dayak International Airport in the Republic of Niger.

In a statement on Friday, the department said the operation took place with the direct support and supervision of the General Command of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, as part of efforts to curb illegal migration, enhance security and stability, and protect the borders.

It added that the deportation operation was carried out under the direct coordination of the head of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration, Major General Salah Mahmoud Al-Khafifi, and with on-site supervision by the director of the agency’s branches in the southern region, Major General Abdulrahman Al-Ansari, as part of an action plan aimed at addressing the issue of illegal migration in accordance with organized security and humanitarian procedures.

Deportation of 26 Migrants via the Musaid Border Crossing

Last Thursday, the department's Shahhat Branch announced the deportation of 36 Egyptian migrants via the Musaid land border crossing.

The branch stated that this action was part of the agency’s ongoing efforts to regulate migration and take the necessary legal measures against violators.

It emphasized that the deportations were carried out in accordance with applicable regulations and instructions, in coordination with the relevant authorities, within the framework of maintaining security and regulating entry and exit through border crossings.
