The Shahhat Branch of the Department for Combating Illegal Immigration began deporting 40 irregular Egyptian migrants, including children and women, through the Musaid border crossing after completing the necessary legal and administrative procedures.
The branch director, Brigadier General Ramzi Ramadan, confirmed that the operations were carried out in accordance with security protocols and humanitarian standards, ensuring the legal handling of all cases involving the apprehension, detention, and deportation of migrants, according to a statement posted by the agency on its Facebook page yesterday, Thursday.
Lieutenant Colonel Ziad Daoud, director of the branch’s deportation office, also oversaw the completion of the deportees’ files and the securing of their transport until their handover to the competent authorities at the Musaid border crossing, as part of a comprehensive security plan aimed at addressing the migration issue and curbing the flow of arrivals via illegal routes.
