Fifth body recovered from migrant boat that sank off Tobruk

On Saturday, a Libyan Red Crescent team recovered another body from the boat that sank off the coast of Tobruk, in response to reports received from the operations room of the Security Directorate.

The Red Crescent Society said in a post on its Facebook page that the Tobruk branch team, accompanied by the Search and Rescue Division of the General Directorate of Coastal Security, mobilized immediately upon receiving the report.

It added that the body was handed over to the medical center’s morgue to complete the necessary procedures.

Four bodies recovered from victims of a boat sinking off the coast of Tobruk

Last Monday, the Libyan Red Crescent Society recovered four bodies in response to reports received from the Al-Qardaba Police Station, it was determined that they belonged to the migrant boat that sank off the coast of Tobruk.

Red Crescent teams in Tobruk, accompanied by search and rescue teams from the General Directorate of Coastal Security, carried out the recovery operations despite difficult conditions. The bodies were handed over to the medical center’s morgue to complete the necessary procedures.
