The Security Operations Department of the Agency for Combating Illegal Immigration, Jabal Al-Akhdar Branch, apprehended 23 undocumented migrants during security patrols conducted at intersections in the city of Bayda. T

he agency explained in a post on its Facebook page that the patrols were conducted to monitor the status of migrants within the country and apprehend violators, in addition to intensifying security presence and highlighting field efforts.

The statement noted that the patrol, affiliated with the Green Mountain Security Operations Office, established both stationary and mobile checkpoints in several areas and intersections across the city.

It added that the operation resulted in the apprehension of 23 migrants of Chadian, Egyptian, and Sudanese nationalities, noting that they were not in possession of health certificates or passports.
