The Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Government of National Unity announced on Monday, that it had held a joint consular meeting with Romanian diplomats, who expressed their country’s desire to pave the way for the resumption of its embassy’s operations in Tripoli.

The two sides discussed a number of issues of mutual interest to both countries.

The agenda for the talks included a review of the work program for crisis and disaster management, as well as coordination to host the Romanian delegation at the headquarters of the National Center for Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management to learn about key programs and explore ways to benefit from Romanian expertise in the fields of crisis management, and support in emergency and disaster situations, according to a statement by the ministry on its Facebook page.
