Takala discusses the Arab League’s role in supporting stability in Libya with Secretary-General Aboul Gheit

Muhammad Takala, President of the High Council of State, discussed on Saturday, with Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, the league’s role in supporting stability in Libya, during a meeting held on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum taking place in Turkey.

The meeting was also attended by the Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League, Hossam Zaki. The participants discussed the latest political developments in Libya, ways to support the political process, and ways to strengthen opportunities for consensus among Libyan parties, thereby contributing to ending the state of division and reaching a comprehensive settlement, according to the High Council of State’s media office on Facebook.

The discussions also addressed the importance of the Arab League’s role in supporting stabilization efforts and emphasized the need for coordination with regional and international institutions to bolster efforts aimed at achieving security and stability in the country.

The meeting also addressed the situation in the Arab region, particularly developments in the war in the Arabian Gulf and their implications for regional security and stability, amid the current escalation of tensions.
