The Criminal Investigation Division seized a 40-foot refrigerated truck carrying 150 migrants of various nationalities as it was heading east toward the city of Tobruk.

The “Al-Abeerin” Foundation for Migrant Assistance said in a statement Sunday morning that the truck was being used for illegal smuggling operations, noting that the migrants were from Pakistan and Bangladesh.

The organization noted that its teams are working to provide assistance to the migrants after their release, with the help of officers and personnel from the Al-Butnan Security Directorate.
