On Thursday, a team from the Security Inspection and Explosive Ordnance Disposal Section, affiliated with the Technical Affairs Office of the Central Region Branch of the Criminal Investigation Department, carried out the destruction of war remnants at the designated site in the Al-Kararim area of Misrata, with a total estimated weight of approximately 3 tons.

The department explained on its Facebook page that this operation followed the completion of collection and securing efforts, emphasizing that explosive materials were handled in accordance with approved technical procedures to ensure the protection of lives and property, as part of the Criminal Investigation Department’s ongoing efforts to enhance public security and safety.

The department also confirmed that the war remnants disposal operation “was carried out with complete success and a high level of professionalism, without any reported damage,” underscoring the competence and readiness of its personnel and their continued commitment to protecting citizens and maintaining public security.

It noted the participation of the Patrols Office of the Central Branch of the Criminal Investigation Department, the Central Branch of the Land Emergency and Rescue Division, the Central Branch of the Emergency Medical and Support Agency, and the Central Branch of Military Intelligence in securing and executing the operation.
