Dabaiba Discusses Regional Developments and Border Security with the President of Chad

Abdulhamid Dabaiba, the head of Libya's Government of National Unity, discussed regional developments and their implications for security and stability, as well as border security issues, with Chadian President Mahamat Idris Déby.

Dabaiba held a telephone conversation with Déby, addressing the latest developments in the region and ways to strengthen joint coordination between the two countries. They emphasized the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation on issues of mutual interest, according to a statement published by the “Our Government” platform.

Security Coordination Between the Dabaiba Government and Chad

The two officials discussed mechanisms to support stability in the region and strengthen security coordination, “in a way that contributes to addressing common challenges, particularly regarding border security and combating cross-border negative phenomena.”

Dabaiba affirmed his government’s commitment to strengthening cooperative relations with Chad, “in a manner that serves mutual interests and contributes to supporting regional stability,” according to the statement.
