Officers from the Ghot al-Sha'al Police Station in Tripoli, arrested three suspects in connection with the kidnapping of a citizen last Thursday.

The Tripoli Security Directorate stated that it had apprehended three new suspects in the case following the arrest of previous suspects, with the assistance of members of the security convoy.

Early on Thursday morning, a citizen was forcibly detained and taken into a vehicle by a group of individuals, before being released later after being assaulted.

Following investigations and searches, the police managed to apprehend two individuals involved in the incident and took legal action against them.

The Security Directorate emphasized that the crimes of kidnapping and assault on personal liberty will be met with deterrent penalties against anyone proven to be involved.
