The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) announced on Sunday, that pre-operational testing is continuing for the Abu Ghilan power station project, rated at 11/30 kV, in the city of Gharyan.
In a brief statement, the company said that the pre-operational testing came after the completion of the installation of all equipment, including 11/30 kV cells and two transformers, each with a capacity of 20 MW.
The project is being implemented by the Gharyan Distribution Projects Department and is expected to supply a large part of the Abu Ghilan area and its surroundings, maintaining grid stability and ensuring its continuity with maximum efficiency.
