Presidential Council President Mohamed Menfi discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries with Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev on Saturday during a telephone call that addressed prospects for developing joint relations.

The media office of the President of the Presidential Council said that Menfi made a phone call to President Aliyev, during which they discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, in addition to discussing opportunities for developing joint cooperation in various fields.

The statement added that the two sides exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues and reviewed the latest developments in the region.

During the call, Menfi affirmed Libya's keenness to strengthen cooperation with Azerbaijan and to work to push relations between the two countries toward broader horizons of coordination and integration, thereby enhancing stability and serving common interests.
