Al-Namroush receives France's Mediterranean Maritime Zone Commander on first visit to Libya

The Chief of Staff of the Army appointed by the Presidential Council, Lieutenant General Salah al-Din al-Namroush, received on Wednesday the Commander of France's Mediterranean Maritime Zone, Admiral Christophe Lucas, accompanied by the French military attaché to Libya, as part of his first official visit to Libya.

During the meeting, which was held in his office at the General Staff Headquarters in Tripoli, al-Namroush welcomed his French guest, expressing his appreciation for this visit, which reflects the importance of communication and coordination between the Libyan and French military institutions and strengthens the paths of joint cooperation, according to what the General Staff published on its Facebook page.

The General Staff said that during the meeting, a number of issues of mutual interest were discussed, along with areas of bilateral cooperation between the two countries that serve security and stability in the Mediterranean region.
