The Chief of Staff of the Army appointed by the Presidential Council, Lieutenant General Salah al-Din al-Namroush, and the Chairman of the General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces, Air Chief Marshal Fayyadh Al Ruwaili, expressed their aspiration for further development in cooperation relations between the two brotherly countries, in a manner that serves their common interests and enhances security and stability in the region.

Al-Namroush participates in the World Defense Exhibition in Riyadh

This came during their meeting on the sidelines of the opening of the third edition of the World Defense Exhibition 2026 in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on Sunday, as part of the exhibition's activities, which were held from February 8 to 12, organized by the General Authority for Military Industries in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, according to the General Staff in Tripoli.

The General Staff said on its Facebook page that al-Namroush's participation in the International Defense Exhibition in Riyadh came “at the official invitation” of the Chairman of the General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces.

It explained that the meeting between al-Namroush and Al Ruwaili focused on the World Defense Exhibition and its latest technologies, defense systems, and advanced military industries, as well as the modern weapons and equipment displayed by major international companies participating in this international event.

The two sides also reviewed the exhibition's most prominent advanced solutions and technologies in the fields of weaponry, surveillance, military communications, and smart platforms, which reflect the significant development in modern defense industries.

Al-Namroush praised the professional organization and efforts made in holding the International Defense Exhibition, which is a leading international platform for showcasing defense innovations, especially with the participation of about 1,000 companies specializing in the fields of defense and security from various countries around the world. Al Ruwaili valued the depth of friendship and cooperation between Libya and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, wishing the Libyan people stability and prosperity.
