The Attorney General's Office handed over Saif al-Islam Gaddafi's body to his tribe, the Gadhadhafa, on Wednesday, according to reports.

Alwasat reviewed photos and a video showing the handover of the body at a rest house where Saif al-Gaddafi was staying in Zintan, but we were unable to confirm the source officially.

On Tuesday evening, the prosecutor's office announced that Saif al-Gaddafi had been killed by gunfire, after examining his body.

In a related context, people close to Saif spoke about the details of his death. His French lawyer, Marcel Ceccaldi, said that he was killed by a “four-member commando unit,” explaining that “about ten days ago, he learned from one of Saif's close associates that there were problems related to his security.”
