The Jufra Security Directorate announced on Monday that it was suspending traffic and movement to neighboring cities in central Libya due to poor weather conditions, lack of visibility, and strong winds causing sand and dust storms.
The Directorate said on its Facebook page that movement would be suspended “for security reasons and due to bad weather conditions, including poor visibility and strong winds, starting this evening, Monday, and ending in the early hours of Wednesday morning, until weather conditions improve and the situation returns to normal.”
Hammad government decisions
The Jufra Security Directorate called on citizens to comply with the instructions issued, avoid travel during the specified period, and cooperate with the security authorities to maintain safety, noting that “these measures are based on national and humanitarian responsibility and the implementation of the decisions of the Deputy Minister of the Interior” in the government appointed by the House of Representatives, Major General Faraj Qaim.
Earlier today, Monday, the National Meteorological Center predicted that unstable weather would prevail in most areas of the country for three days, accompanied by active to strong southeasterly winds, especially this evening and tomorrow in the northeastern and southwestern regions.
