French President Emmanuel Macron sent a letter of condolence to Libya Presidential Council leader Mohamed Menfi on the death of the Government of National Unity Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Haddad, and his companions, following the crash of their plane near Ankara on Tuesday.
The Presidential Council said in a statement on Wednesday that the letter of condolence was delivered by France's envoy to Libya, Paul Soler, in which the French president expressed his “sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to Menfi and the Libyan people for the tragic accident that occurred near the Turkish capital.
Macron affirmed France's solidarity and support for Libya and its people in this tragic event, expressing his deep sympathy with the families of the victims and wishing them patience and solace.
