The Benghazi Security Directorate began evacuating a number of families stranded in the Old Kish area of Benghazi on Friday evening, after rainwater flooded the streets of the area.
The evacuations took place near the Al-Sha'la factory, after rainwater leaked into homes. Relief teams are working to provide urgent assistance and transport families to safe places to ensure their safety.
Meteorological Center forecasts rain in the eastern region
Earlier today, the National Meteorological Center forecast scattered rain, ranging from moderate to heavy, especially from Benghazi to areas in Jabal Akhar, accompanied by occasional thunderstorms, causing water to collect in low-lying areas and flooding some local valleys.
The center called for caution and vigilance, expecting southwesterly to westerly winds to be moderate to strong, shifting to northwesterly from tomorrow evening, with maximum temperatures ranging between 14 and 21 degrees Celsius.
