Seven students and teachers suffered from smoke inhalation after a fire broke out at a school in the Ben Ashour area of Tripoli, according to the Ambulance and Emergency Service on Thursday.

The service said on its Facebook page that it sent two ambulances from the Souq Al-Jumah office after receiving a report from the Interior Ministry about a fire at Al-Khawarizmi Elementary School in Ben Ashour.

The service confirmed that three children, the school principal, three female teachers, and one male teacher were treated and given oxygen in the ambulances.
