The Benghazi branch of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration announced on Sunday that 1,507 irregular migrants were arrested in the city during January.

According to the branch, 1,455 had their status corrected and were issued secured identification cards.

52 had infectious diseases after medical tests were conducted inside the branch.

The branch also deported 898 irregular immigrants of ten different nationalities, including 129 individuals subject to security restrictions.
