Qatar's Prime Minister affirms 'full support' for the Libyan political track during meeting with Aguila Saleh

The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, affirmed his country's full support for the Libyan political track and all peaceful solutions that preserve Libya's sovereignty.

This came during a meeting with the Speaker of Libya's House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, in the Qatari capital, Doha, on Tuesday.

The two sides also reviewed the cooperation between the two countries, and ways to support and develop them, according to a statement by the Media and Communication Department of the Qatari Foreign Ministry.

Saleh arrived in Doha on Monday, at the invitation of the Speaker of the Qatari Shura Council, Hassan bin Abdulla Al-Ghanim.

During the visit, Aguila is accompanied by House of Representatives members Issa al-Oraibi, Adnan al-Shaab, and Idris al-Maghrabi, according to photos circulated on social media.

Saleh last visited the State of Qatar in September 2022.
