A Libyan-American meeting in Tunisia on Wednesday discussed opportunities for Libyan students wishing to study at US universities.
The US embassy in Libya said that Chargé d'Affaires Jeremy Brendt met in Tunisia with Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs Walid Al-Lafi and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Omran Al-Geeb to discuss opportunities to strengthen partnerships in higher education.
Brendt added that the meeting discussed "opportunities to strengthen higher education partnerships and jointly promote opportunities for Libyan students interested in attending university in the United States. We look forward to expanding cooperation in this important sphere that will foster greater people-to-people connections between our two countries".
