Government of National Unity (GNU) Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dabaiba participated on Monday in the activities of Italy-Africa summit being held in Rome.

The summit will discuss economic cooperation and infrastructure files, as well as food security, energy security and transition, with broad participation from African heads of state, governments, the African Union, and representatives of the European Union.

On Sunday, Dabaiba met with Italian President Sergio Mattarella and Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni after arriving in Rome.

A Italian government statement said that Mattarella and Meloni received Dabaiba at the Quirinale Palace in Rome, without giving further details about the discussions in the meeting.
