Dabaiba discusses launching a Libyan-European strategic dialogue on migration with EU's Charles Michel

Government of National Unity (GNU) Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dabaiba, discussed with the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, issues of common interest between Libya and the European Union, including the launch of the Libyan-European Strategic Dialogue on migration issues.

The discussion came during a meeting on the sidelines of the Italy-Africa summit held in Rome, on Monday.

The two sides also discussed mechanisms of cooperation between Libya and Europe in the field of clean energy and ways to combat irregular migration, according to GNU statement.

Dabaiba and Michel then affirmed support for the initiative of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Libya, Abdoulaye Bathilu, and the importance of consolidating efforts to stabilize the region.
