The Director General of Mitiga International Airport, Lotfi Al-Tabib, announced the resumption of normal movement at the airport after temporarily rerouting flights to Misrata International Airport.

In a statement to Alwasat on Saturday, Al-Tabib said that an Air Ambulance veered off the runway during an emergency landing, causing a temporary suspension of flights.

He added that the engineers and technicians from the Operations and Safety Department and the National Safety Authority were able to quickly move the Air Ambulance and re-open the runway.

The incident did not result in human or material losses
