Mauritania to reopen embassy in Tripoli

The Mauritanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Salem, announced the return of his country's embassy to work from Tripoli.

The announcement came during his meeting with the head of Libya's Government of National Unity, Abdulhamid Dabaiba, on Thursday.

Salem presented a verbal message from the Mauritanian president to Dabaiba confirming the depth of relations between the two countries and working to coordinate efforts at the level of the Arab Maghreb Union and the African Union.

For his part, Dabaiba praised the historical relationship between the two countries and the need to continue cooperation in all fields.

Dabaiba also praised Mauritania's efforts to push Maghreb countries to have a unified vision towards all issues.
