The Governor of Libya's Central Bank, Siddiq Al-Kabir, discussed preparations by Turkish companies to resume their projects in various regions of the country and their participation in the reconstruction of Derna and flood-affected areas.

This came during a meeting on Wednesday at his office with Turkish Ambassador to Libya, Kenan Yilmaz, and trade adviser Yusuf Yildiz, according to a statement issued by the Central Bank.

The meeting reviewed cooperation between the two countries in the banking and financial field and the support for the Central Bank in resolving bottlenecks resulting from the suspension of projects during the past years.

Al-Kabir's meeting with the Turkish ambassador comes after similar discussions with Egyptian Central Bank Governor Hassan Abdullah and Algerian Ambassador Suleiman Shanin.
