Libya's Government of National Unity (GNU) announced on Tuesday that crew have begun to demolish illegally constructed building in the municipality of Souq Al-Juma, as part of its plan to widen roads in the area.

Work began on 20 Ramadan Road from Arada Bridge to Souq Al-Juma Bridge, according to a statement.

The project comes within the framework of a master plan approved within the municipality of Souq Al-Juma, and is being implemented by the Tripoli Public Services Company.
