Misrata Municipality say work on the city's 3rd ring road project is progressing

The Municipality of Misrata confirmed on Saturday that work on the 3.7 billion dinar 3rd ring road is progressing.

At the end of December 2022, the Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation for the Government of National Unity, Ali Al-Abed, said that the ministry will provide all the necessary facilities and procedures to recruit workers to implement the project, which is being supervised by the Utilities and Housing Authority and implemented by an Egyptian consortium.

The value of the contract signed with the consortium of Egyptian companies in January 2022 is about 3.734 million Libyan dinars, according to the head of the management committee of the project, Kamal al-Bitar.

Al-Bitar confirmed that the companies started work on August 20, 2023. 

The contract stipulates that the project will be implemented within 12 months.
