The Speaker of Libya's House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, met in his office in the city of Al-Qubbah with the mayors of 24 municipalities in the western region on Sunday.

According to a statement published by House of Representatives spokesman Abdullah Bliheg, the meeting dealt with a number of needs and requirements in these municipalities.

Bliheg added that "mayors asked the speaker of the House of Representatives to extend to these municipalities reconstruction and development projects like the rest of the municipalities where reconstruction and development work has begun".

The delegation included mayor from: Abu Basra, Al-Mutarad, Mizdah, Al-Mashashiya, Al-Awiniya, Nalut, Wazen, Jadu, Yefran, Al-Qala'a, Batin Al-Jabal, Ghadames, Al-Jamil Al-Manshiyya, Sayyad, Al-Maya, Bir Al-Ghanam, Al-Zawiya Al-Wasat, Al-Ajilat Al-Janoubia, Jinan Attia, Al-Zawiya Al-Shamal, Zawiya Al-Baqoul, Qasr Wames, Libda, Al-Khums, and Al-Rahibat.
