The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) announced that progress was continuing on the Ruwais-Abu Arqoub 400 kV power transmission line with the installation and backfilling of concrete bases and wire tightening.
The project is being implemented by the Sustainable Energy Company under the supervision and follow-up of the General Directorate of Transmission Projects, according to a brief statement issued by the electricity company.
Last December, the electricity company announced the installation of 56 towers on the line, as part of its efforts to raise the efficiency of the power network and develop it to keep pace with the increasing demand for electrical energy.
